Since the Lake View World AIDS Day Candle Light Vigil's started: the idea of keeping them open, without religious overtones has been a constant but it still may and will have a spiritual effect.

While looking for a venue, a small church agreed to host the event. Three years into the Lake View World AIDS Day Candle Light Vigil, the church wanted to add a prayer service to the Vigil. The planing team approached the Center on Halsted since it is a community center.

Last year, Sidetrack bar offered space for the pre march gathering. Although it kept people under 21 from attending, the outdoor candle light march/walk up Halsted was well attended.

A video of the march/walk  can be seen here

The Vigil planning team has always wanted it to be non religious, a part of an ASO but  by and for the people.
